I love live albums myself, at least the good ones, LOL. I even made this video, 20 Live Albums That Are FUN To Have On Vinyl, which might inspire you to find a few that are unfamiliar. https://youtu.be/VZawmgDIixU?si=a06BBDu37bpDsszw
Haha, cheers. Thanks for watching! As for The Who, at first I was thinking, why do I have two of their albums in there...and then I was like, they're one of the greatest live bands ever, that's why!
Good timing, I spent a lovely 90 minutes with Bowie’s Nassau Coliseum ‘76 last night. He’s had several killer live albums out in the last few years from his 70s glory days, really cool to hear his older songs evolve along with the lineup of the band.
That's a great one! The Reality Tour album is also quite amazing, the energy is astonishing and he covers almost his entire career up to 2003. And if you watch the video I linked above, you'll hear me argue that Stage is really the third side of the Berlin Trilogy...can I get a witness?
Live recordings and concerts... can mean vulnerablitly and can capture real time reaction. Mostly, I opt for studio recordings because I want to connect to the artist and not to the audience. Both perspectives of yours are/were valid. Anyone who has been to a concert of one of their favorite artist, knows the experience can be ruined by other concert goers ... or it can be enhanced.

In awe of the record wall behind you, Jeremy. Cool picks! I think 2024 might be the year I dive into the Who thanks to this.
