Thanks for learning me that I need to read some Lerner...also loved the description of that Twin Peaks residency. It's been a long time since I listened to any of their stuff, but I'm getting the itch now!

great playlist!

Lerner is a magician. His books are chock-full of surprise--the only reason to read a novel, in the end.

Hey Josh! What a cool read... especially learning about your time writing and traveling with Twin Peaks. I went to two nights of Peaks Week (Saturday and Wednesday) so it was great reading about your experience at some of the nights I didn't attend. I thought a lot about The Grateful Dead during both nights I went... there was something about the community and different set lists each night that really gave off similar energy. Keep up the great writing & work!

I miss the Chicago music scene something fierce, the live venues there are so vibrant.

Did you spend any time on WLUW while at Loyola?

I listened a lot when I was attending Loyola, had friends who worked there at the time (including the partner of one of the guys in Twin Peaks), and was even interviewed a couple times there, but amazingly, I never took advantage of working in a college radio station.

Missed opportunity! I was the music director over there for a chunk of the WBEZ years, so was curious. Great place!

I simply cannot get enough of the bass on Haveluck Country. Fantastic stuff. Josh, do you have a Twin Peaks playlist you can share for the uninitiated?

I don’t have one made but I’d wager every Twin Peaks fan would have a different selection of songs. I’d start with Sweet 17 Singles (it’s a comp but boasts some of their best songs) and if you like that, try Down In Heaven. Not a dud in the catalog though

Awesome - thanks! Can’t wait to dig in.
