Thanks for this! I’ll be honest, I haven’t explored much of Sufjan Stevens’ music. But Carrie & Lowell made my top 20 albums of 2015. A beautiful and devastating album, one I’m listening to again right now (inspired by your post).

I haven’t enjoyed much he’s released since C&L but I’ve also never explored his earlier catalog and I’ll go back and listen to some of these earlier albums on the strength of your recommendations. I’ve barely dipped into Javelin, but definitely want to spend some more time with it.

So glad you had a good Dylan experience - there's nothing like it! Having seen great shows in 2007 (United Palace Theater, NYC) and 2016 (Tanglewood, Lenox, MA) I thought I was done...but I'm mightily tempted by this latest tour.

Dylan was fantastic. I was there too! Couldn't agree more about how much he seemed to be enjoying himself. I saw him in 2021 when this tour kicked off (my first time seeing Dylan ever) and it was great but it was more restrained. This time I was in awe of how, idunno, jaunty some of these songs were. And his piano playing is getting better!
