Your tips for interviewing are huge. Great reminders for me, and I hope someone that needs to see them does. I try to work in at least one question that I'm curious about- hopefully, some readers are as well. If nothing else, it gets away from the usual boilerplate stuff.
Love civil dead! Watched it during the online festival premier and then got the blu ray and watched with friends. "I love how you decorate, its like you don't care how it looks". Also adore cool dry place and shared the same feeling of always loving it
Great stuff per usual. Curious if you could share a link to the SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE (respect the caps) press release? Curious to see it as an example from an artist perspective.
Sorry, one other Q, if you have time...I'm sort of using my newsletter as a press release every time that I'm releasing something...just on a monthly basis. As a music journalist, would you find this to be annoying? And, if a bunch of bands were doing this, would that be even more annoying!?
despite all the factors you describe, I have never gelled with Wilco. What’s your go-to intro album recommendation for them? Mikey and Nicky is so good, can’t wait to watch again with an understanding of where the plot is heading.
I caught their Pitchfork headlining set years ago when they dropped an album the same weekend - I enjoyed it but was definitely on my way out. My appreciation for instrumental chops and general jamming has majorly increased since then, so I’ll give Ghost a go.

Have you seen them live yet, Jack? I think knowing your taste A Ghost Is Born is probably the one you'd like most.

Can't wait to hear the Kirby show review. Lutalo has been CRUSHING lately, really feels like something special happening, what a great combo
