Four new albums that might be the best of 2025 so far. Plus, ‘Mickey 17,’ ‘Do Not Expect Too Much From the End of the World,’ and a stellar new novel called ‘See Friendship.’
Maybe you answered this before : how do you listen to your picks or any of your music - you share on Bandcamp but do you listen on Spotify, Apple, vinyl - cassette?!
I definitely need to check out Fust and Stratton. Speaking of Sufjan Stevens-adjacent projects, have you listened to Melissa Mary Ahern’s Kerosene yet? Apologies if you wrote about it and I missed it!
Hey fellow Chicagoan! I LOVE "Do Not Expect Too Much...!" It's such a great film that is worth it's length! Mickey 17 - not so much for me. I need to check out your playlist.
Great albums this week - thank you!

Asking for a friend...
depends! a lot are promo downloads sent to press but if not, I'll either buy on Bandcamp or stream via Apple Music or Tidal.
Damn, a sensational group of albums! Thanks for curating!
Agree on Mickey 17. At least the cast and crew took a swing or two if they're going to miss as badly as some of these big budget movies do.
